Icons
This series of works was based an ongoing fascination with the ancient icons of the Russian and Greek Orthodox Church. Religious icons have long served as sources of visual inspiration, transcending temporal and cultural boundaries. In particular The Madonna/Theotokos which continue to inspire and connect generations, and offer a bridge between tradition and innovation.

Malamalama
Malamalama is a worldview that encompasses the concepts of understanding and clarity alongside spirituality and enlightment. It provides a basis not only for intellectual understanding but a broader more holistic approach to life in general. These works examine the arrival of Christianity in Samoa and the integration of the Christian faith into an existing rich and diverse set of indigenous beliefs through the philosophical notion of Malamalama.
